– The Teaching Method –
Intelligent Yoga
Stacy’s teaching blends alignment, anatomy, breath, philosophy, and soulful storytelling. The practice is physically balanced, energetically empowering, mentally focusing, and spiritually uplifting.
You will learn how to move with greater awareness, adapt postures to your body, and build a practice that supports longevity – not performance for performance’s sake.
– Community Matters –
Belonging
The Yoga Nest is a circle of sincere students, teachers, friends, and seekers. We celebrate practice, curiosity, kindness, and the joy of growing together.
This is a community where no pose is above another and no person is above another. We meet each other with warmth, humor, respect, and heart.
– Ways to Practice –
Live when you can. On demand when you need. In community always.
Join twice-weekly in person and livestream classes, practice anytime with the on-demand library, or gather for select in-person garden experiences when the season invites us outside.

Testimonials
As a long time yoga student, I have continuously searched for a mentor since I moved to Southern California 10 years ago. It seems that the yoga community is inundated with some very young teachers who have the asanas down perhaps but not the wisdom, introspection, and reflection of the purpose of yoga, notwithstanding, living the lifestyle. In taking your classes, I see that you exude something in which I’ve been searching in a teacher. You’re bright, deep, reflective, and knowledgeable.
Stacy McCarthy was my very first teacher in my very first yoga class. The class that was and continues to be, one of my life’s most transforming moments, for I was elevated to a place I describe as the unknown. I was beyond changed, I was elevated. Fear and trepidation quickly dissolved through a voice that was soft, kind and reassuring. Although challenged by movements and terminology out of my fitness vocabulary, Stacy’s clear and concise instruction guided me through movements I never knew I could perform.
Movement that Changes Your Life
From sun-kissed flows to gratitude practices, these gatherings remind us that yoga can be both sacred and playtul, personal and shared.

“A lot of people find yoga intimidating.
My mission is to guide them past that fear. To give them the confidence to get on their mat and live their fullest life.”

The Vinyasa That Meets You Where You Are
A new way to flow, breathe, and belong on the matThere is a moment I will never forget. A woman in her early fifties walked up to me after class, eyes glassy, and said, "I think this is my last yoga class. I just can't keep up." She had been showing up faithfully for...

Day 24 65 of 65
I almost skipped my practice this morning.
Travel. Jet lag. Excuses
Then I remembered…
We don’t practice because life is easy.
We practice because life isn’t.
What’s one thing that keeps you grounded when life gets busy?”
Day 23 of 65 to 65 🧘♀️💪
Adventure fills the soul, but coming home fills the heart.
After an unforgettable week in New York City and the quiet beauty of Nantucket, I’m returning home with fresh inspiration, gratitude, and a renewed appreciation for the life I’ve created.
Travel reminds me that growth happens when we step outside our routines. Home reminds me why those routines matter.
This week it’s back to what I love most, teaching, connecting, and moving together.
✨ Classes at The Yoga Nest
✨ Soul of Yoga
✨ And on August 15, join me for Yoga in the Garden: Strong & Sexy Shoulders, a practice designed to create strength, stability, and freedom in your upper body.
After class, we’ll continue with an introduction to my new course The Unbound Method™, where you’ll discover how fascia, decompression, and mindful movement can unlock a whole new experience in your body. Join us in person or online.
No matter where we travel, the greatest journey is always the one that brings us back to ourselves.
Wherever you are today, I hope you find a little adventure… and a place that feels like home. 💚
Day 22 of 65 to 65🌅
Nantucket has a way of reminding you that life doesn’t have to be rushed to be extraordinary.
Today was simple in all the best ways… driving a an open air Willys Jeep down sandy roads, wandering through a quiet nature preserve, sharing yoga with dear friends in their beautiful home, lingering over a seaside dinner, and ending the day watching the sun disappear into the ocean.
None of these moments were about doing more.
They were about being more present.
I’ve learned that the richest days aren’t necessarily the busiest or the most productive. They’re the ones where you fully inhabit the moment you’re in.
Whether you’re teaching, traveling, working, or simply watching the sunset, life has a way of expanding when you slow down enough to notice it.
Here’s to creating a life where adventure, friendship, movement, and gratitude all belong in the same day.
What’s one simple moment lately that made you stop and appreciate life?
Day 21 of 65 to 65 💙🤍
There’s something about an island.
You can’t rush your way through it.
The ferries move at their own pace. The tides decide the schedule. The ocean reminds you that life unfolds in seasons, not deadlines.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that slowing down isn’t the opposite of living fully.
It’s often where life becomes the fullest.
I’m still ambitious. I still love to teach, travel, create, and dream. But I’m learning that peace doesn’t come from doing more.
It comes from being more present in whatever this moment offers.
Maybe that’s one of the greatest gifts of getting older not needing every moment to be productive, only meaningful.
Today, I’m choosing presence over pressure.
What are you choosing today? 🌊
Day 20 of 65 to 65 | Finding Home Wherever You Are
Some people recharge in the mountains. Others by the ocean.
For me… it’s both.
This week I’m in New York City, staying beside Central Park before heading to Nantucket. While my heart will always be drawn to nature—the ocean, forests, mountains, and wide-open spaces. I also love the energy of a great city.
Cities remind me to stay curious.
They expose me to beautiful architecture, thoughtful design, wellness innovations, incredible food, diverse cultures, and endless inspiration. Every trip expands the way I see the world.
One of my favorite parts? Teaching my yoga class live from wherever I happen to be. Today my students practiced with me from my hotel suite overlooking Manhattan. It’s a reminder that yoga isn’t about where you practice, it’s about the presence you bring to the moment.
I’ve learned that happiness isn’t tied to a destination.
It’s a way of traveling through life.
Whether I’m in a quiet garden, on a beach, or in the middle of New York City, I’m grateful to experience it fully.
Where do you feel most alive, nature, the city, or a little of both?
Day 19 of 65 until 65✈️
The older I get, the less I separate work from play.
Today I’m headed to New York for business and then on to Nantucket for a little adventure. Years ago I might have thought I needed to “escape” work to enjoy life.
Now I realize something different.
When your work is aligned with your purpose, and your life is guided by curiosity, the line between work and play begins to disappear.
I love coming home. I love packing a suitcase.
One fills my roots.
The other stretches my wings.
The wisdom isn’t in choosing one over the other. It’s in being fully present wherever your feet land.
Whether I’m teaching a yoga class, speaking on a stage, walking a beach, or exploring a new city… I’m simply collecting moments that remind me how extraordinary this life can be.
Day 18 of 65. ✈️🤍
What’s one place that always feels like home to your soul, even if it’s somewhere you’ve never lived?
Day 18 of 65 to 65😑
I’ll be honest…
Posting every day for 65 days has been harder than I imagined.
Some days the words flow. Other days, I’m teaching all day, traveling, answering emails, creating classes, and by the end of the day I wonder, “Do I really have anything left to say?”
But that’s exactly the lesson.
Growth isn’t built on the days when inspiration strikes. It’s built on the days you show up anyway.
Yoga has taught me that for decades. Not every practice is profound. Not every pose feels graceful. Yet every time we return to the mat, we strengthen something far deeper than our muscles, we strengthen our commitment to ourselves.
So today, I’m showing up imperfectly.
Seventeen days down. Forty-eight to go.
Thank you for reading, encouraging, and walking this journey with me. Your comments, messages, and support mean more than you know. ❤️
What’s one commitment you’ve kept, even when it wasn’t easy?
