This is a class for everyone! Expect clear instruction on alignment and correct engagement in basic postures, breath work, accessible strength-building movements, and step-by-step guidance toward supported inversions, arm balances, and backbends. Options and variations provided. Flows are intelligently sequenced to balance you out, with a primary focus on standing and seated poses. This is an active class geared toward beginners and intermediate students, still offering plenty of work to make you sweat and open up.
Bay Club – Carmel Valley

This class offers students a strong base to begin or deepen their practice by exploring the fundamentals of yoga postures based on Iyengar yoga. Ample time is focused on how to align and activate each posture to build a safe and healthy practice. In addition to physical postures, each class includes tips on yogic breathing and meditation. Hatha yoga postures stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility. Good for students who like an energizing practice with more variety. All levels of ability are welcome.
